wherever SIM GmbH is one of the world's largest providers of state-of-the-art M2M SIM solutions. With its SIM cards specially designed for machine-to-machine communication, the Hamburg-based company has become the preferred SIM supplier for integration into e-charging stations: An M2M SIM from wherever SIM is used in more than 20 percent of the 85,000 charging points recorded by the Federal Network Agency for Germany. From June 14 to 16, 2023, the Hamburg-based company will be exhibiting its SIM at Power2Drive in Munich for the first time.
The demand for sustainable means of transportation continues unabated and the market for electric vehicles and charging stations has grown rapidly. This rapid spread is accompanied by the challenge of effectively managing the charging infrastructure, among other things. This is where wherever SIM GmbH has established itself as an important player in the provision of innovative connectivity solutions. Its customers in the e-mobility sector include international industry giants such as Chargepoint, EWE Go and Mer - one of the leading providers of charging solutions.
Anton Achatz, Managing Director of Mer Germany GmbH: "As part of Statkraft, we operate charging stations for electric vehicles at thousands of locations in Germany, Austria, Norway, Sweden and the UK. In the past, we were worried that the operation of each new charging station would not be stable. Since we started using the M2M SIMs from wherever SIM , we no longer have to worry about that."
Once deployed, the M2M SIMs enable reliable and secure real-time communication between different components of the eMobility ecosystem via mobile communications. The trick behind it: The SIM cards also allow access to the mobile networks of different network operators within a country (national roaming). This means that they guarantee a cellular connection almost everywhere. This seamless connectivity means that charging stations and electric vehicles can be monitored, managed, and serviced remotely - no matter where they are located.
"We are proud to contribute to the further development of sustainable charging solutions with our M2M SIMs. By simplifying the complexities of connectivity for our customers and enabling them to efficiently manage electric vehicles and charging infrastructure, we can help accelerate the global transition to a greener transportation landscape," says Tim Müller, Managing Director of wherever SIM.
At Power2Drive, wherever SIM will be presenting its solutions tailored to the special requirements of the e-mobility sector. Visitors to the trade fair will have the opportunity to find out about the key functions and benefits of the M2M SIM cards at stand B6.350.
