The Industrial M2M SIM is an M2M SIM that is more resistant than standard SIMs and is therefore suitable for extreme applications.
In general, the different SIM cards are divided into the formats mini, micro and nano. There is also the eSIM or embedded SIM, which is soldered directly into a modem as a chip. These SIM formats are also available as "Industrial SIM". This is a more robust version of a normal SIM card.
An industrial SIM basically works in the same way as a normal M2M SIM card. However, it is designed for use under extreme environmental conditions.
For example, a normal M2M SIM card is only recommended in a temperature range of -25°C to +85°C. An Industrial M2M SIM, on the other hand, can be used in temperatures from -40°C to +105°C.
