WhereverSIM - IoT from Hamburg

We offer you the opportunity to get started in one of the industries of the future. With our solution, we enable a simple but professional internet connection for a wide range of IoT devices - from smart washing machines to connected cars.

Since our foundation in 2015, we have been continuously on a healthy growth path, winning over customers such as Rossmann, Lufthansa Industry and Engelbert Strauss.

Your mission

We believe that the future is connected - and we ensure that devices around the globe can communicate with each other. With our M2M SIM cards, we create solutions that really help companies move forward: whether in the field of e-mobility, renewable energies or smart cities. We use the latest technologies to offer customized connectivity for complex B2B challenges.

Together, we are shaping the data lake that drives our growth and innovation in the IoT sector. As an Analytics Engineer, we offer you the opportunity to design ELT processes and data models in a modern cloud environment (AWS S3, Apache Airflow, EMR Serverless, PySpark) and thus enable data-driven decisions for customers and teams.

Your role:

In our team, you will lay the foundation for ensuring that data is available in a structured, usable and decision-relevant form to help us and our customers move forward.

  • Your data pipelines: You develop and monitor modern ELT processes (e.g. with Airflow and PySpark on AWS) to integrate data from different source systems into our data lake and data warehouse - efficiently, maintainably and traceably.
  • Your data model: You build analytical data models in the data warehouse - as a reliable basis for reporting, analyses and data-based decisions.
  • Your collaboration: You work in the data team with a data analyst and are involved in an interdisciplinary environment with software developers, DevOps, finance and other specialist departments. You understand their requirements - and turn data into real decision-making tools with a tangible impact on the business.
  • Your experience: You are familiar with modern tools, architectures and technologies (e.g. dbt, AWS Glue, Redshift, Snowflake, Apache Iceberg), contribute fresh ideas and support us in finding the best way forward in the modern data stack.
  • Your quality standards: You pay attention to data quality, monitoring and governance - and think about concepts such as user management, access and documentation right from the start.

What you bring with you

  • Experience: You have sound experience in data engineering or analytics engineering in a cloud-based environment - especially in setting up ELT processes and modeling analytical data structures in a DWH.
  • Technology expertise: Your Python and SQL skills are very good - you develop ELT processes securely and efficiently. Ideally, you have practical experience with tools such as Apache Airflow and PySpark and actively use them to orchestrate and transform data.
  • Analytical thinking: You master challenges creatively and pragmatically, implementing sustainable solutions in a targeted manner. You enjoy testing new tools, observing the market and making well-founded recommendations.
  • Nice to have: Knowledge of tools such as Snowflake, dbt, Liquibase or Airbyte is an advantage - as is experience with data governance (e.g. user management, access concepts or metadata maintenance).

Our benefits

  • 🧠 Growth and development: With us, you have the opportunity to develop professionally and personally. We support you with targeted training opportunities to help you reach your full potential.
  • 🔄 Agility: In a dynamic environment like ours, flexibility is crucial. We work in an agile way so that you can react quickly to changes, help shape processes and implement innovative ideas directly.
